In November 2012, members of the International Co-operation Committee (ICC) travelled to Mashad in Iran to explore the opportunities of establishing co-operation and teaching courses similar to those offered at the EACTS Academy.

Visiting fellowship

EACTS Council offers a limited number of visiting fellowships each year to enable surgeons at an advanced training stage in cardio-thoracic surgery to visit some leading institution(s) of their choice in Europe.
