The EACTS Council has decided that endovascular treatment should become--in addition to the already established areas of the cardiac and thoracic surgery--one of the main interests of our association. As a first step, a new committee called the "Endovascular Surgery Resource Group" was formed; the members of this committee can be found under

Council wishes to promote scientific exchange and training in this field: dedicated sessions are planned during the annual meeting, in the postgraduate course, and in the Techno-College. As a first step, the state of endovascular surgery among the membership of EACTS will be assessed, and the Council would like to ask you to take a couple of minutes to answer a questionnaire that is linked from this mail. We shall inform you in our Newsletter and on the home page of the EACTS about the results of this preliminary assessment.
