Dress will be informal for all events, with the exception of the Presidential Dinner, which will be black tie or national dress.

Please note that the Civic Reception will now precede the Concert on Monday evening.

 

OPENING CEREMONY AND OPENING RECEPTION - Sunday 5 September 1999

All registered delegates and their accompanying persons are invited to attend the official EACTS'99 Opening Ceremony and Reception which will take place in the Exhibition Hall at the SECC.

 

CIVIC RECEPTION AND CONCERT - Monday 6 September 1999
GLASGOW ROYAL CONCERT HALL

Both events included in the registration fees for delegates and accompanying persons

18:15 - 19:15 hrs
The Civic Reception from the City of Glasgow, will precede the concert. The venue is Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, conveniently situated in the centre of the city. Coach transportation from the SECC will be provided.

19:30 - 21:30 hrs
"Scotland in Music, Poetry and Song" is the theme of a special evening with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, under its Principal Conductor, Alexander Lazarev, and featuring internationally renowned soloists, including the violinist Tasmin Little.

 

PRESIDENTIAL DINNER - Tuesday 7 September 1999

The Presidential Dinner, which is being held in the Grand Ballroom of The Glasgow Thistle Hotel, will provide an occasion where Scotland's traditions and culture will enhance an evening of warm hospitality and unique entertainment. There will be coach transportation between hotels and The Glasgow Thistle.
