ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

The creation of the School in Bergamo has largely been an initiative of Lucio Parenzan. He has secured the use, free-of-charge, of the refurbished Villa Elios.

The owners of the Villa Elios are the Reale Mutua Insurance Company and the Techint Group via the Gavazzeni Clinic.

The donors of the financial grants are EACTS, the Cariplo Foundation, Milan and IBM Italy.

A Committee consisting of Hans Borst, Ottavio Alfieri, Hans Huysmans, Pieter Kappetein, Walter Klepetko, Roberto Lorusso, Lucio Parenzan, Erino A Rendina, Joachim Schäfers and Torkel Åberg have worked out the details and the curricula. We are grateful for all their hard work
