Baxter BioSurgery Award

In order to be eligible for the Baxter BioSurgery Award, participants must successfully attend one of the training modules on surgical sealants during any of the following courses:

• 2-7 May 2005 : Cardiac Level 2
• 5-11 September 2005 : Cardiac Level 3
• 6-11 June 2005 : Thoracic Level 2
• 10-15 October 2005 : Thoracic Level 3

The training modules will take place on the Wednesdays, in the pm after the official program, and will last 1 hour and 45 minutes.

The top two scholars of each of these special modules on the use of surgical sealants will be offered a workshop in Vienna, where they will attend a hands-on training seminar on animals in a wet lab at the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute.

The workshop will take place on Dec. 16th-17th 2005. A detailed program will follow.

Trainers will be:

• Dr Raymond Nistor, Global Director Baxter BioSurgery Medical Affairs, Vienna

All expenses (flight, hotel accommodation, city ground transportation, meals) will be covered by Baxter.

Award rules

The week coordinators, helped by the week faculty, will select the award winners, based on their leadership and active participation during the course. The decision of the committee is not subject to legal recourse.
