Course Overview
This three-day course will cover in detail all aspects of mechanical circulatory support. From the origins of end-stage heart failure, its pathophysiology and its assessment, psycho-social aspects management, device problem solving and surgical techniques.
There will be video presentations as well as a hands-on drylab where participants will be able to perform these techniques.
Target Audience
Ventricular assist device co-ordinators, nurses, transplant co-ordinators, VAD technicians, paramedics involved in end stage heart disease, perfusionists.
