At this year’s EACTS Annual Meeting, sustainability is a top priority for us and our providers. This year we are taking steps to minimize our carbon footprint and ensure this year’s Annual Meeting is “green”. We are proud to share details of our eco-friendly initiatives for the upcoming 38th EACTS Annual Meeting.
To minimise paper usage and reduce waste, we are one of the first organisations to digitalise our programmes and abstracts, with our Daily News editions remaining as the only printed items at the Meeting.
To keep waste to a minimum, sustainability is at the forefront of our catering partner’s operations, using reusable tableware, organically sourced food and recycling waste management plans.
If social distancing rules are in place in October, how will you ensure safe distances are applied?
We will of course, adhere to the advice provided by the Government. However, in any case, our team is planning the Annual Meeting with social distancing in mind. The health and safety of exhibitors and delegates is our primary concern, and the venue will be set up accordingly.
Is the wearing of face masks compulsory during the Annual Meeting?
Face masks are no longer required to be worn. If you would like to wear a face mask but do not have one, spare masks will be onsite to use (subject to availability).
