STS/EACTS/ESTS Latin America Thoracic Surgery Conference

This year’s STS/EACTS/ESTS Latin America Thoracic Surgery Conference will feature world class, international faculty who will address and explore the latest developments and best practices in general thoracic surgery.

The programme will cover recent advances in neoadjuvant and adjuvant immunotherapy for resectable lung cancer, robotic surgery, sublobar anatomic lung resection, surgery for advanced thoracic malignancies, new technologies in thoracic surgery, interventional bronchoscopy, chest trauma, and other important topics. In addition to the invited lectures and keynote presentations, the programme will also include original scientific abstracts in oral and poster sessions, technical videos related to procedural expertise, trials and quality outcomes sessions, and interactive panel discussions.

Surgical Aspects of Cardiopulmonary Transplantation

The course is designed to provide the cardiothoracic surgeon in training with didactic teaching and hands on cadaveric surgical training experience under the guidance of a faculty of experienced surgeons. Candidates will also implant left ventricular assist devices, practice cannulation for ECMO and gain practical experience of ex vivo lung perfusion.
