Hany Hasan Elsayed

Hany Hasan Elsayed is thoracic Surgeon, currently working as a Professor and the Head of Department of Thoracic Surgery at the Faculty of Medicine at Ain Shams University, Egypt. He received his Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in Medicine from Ain Shams University, Egypt in 1999. He received his training in Liverpool UK and started a consultant job in Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital in 2009. He received his FRCS Cth and MD degree in 2009. He moved on as a consultant in Cambridge and Leeds, UK to return back to Egypt in 2012. Prof Elsayed has more than 100 publications in peer reviewed journals in all aspects of thoracic surgery. He is currently the editor of thoracic surgery section in the Cardiothoracic Surgeon, the official journal of Egyptian Society of Cardiothoracic Surgery. He is a leading mentor in international worshops for mesothelioma surgery and complex airway surgery. His clinical and educational interests are video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery, tracheal stenosis, mesothelioma, and lung cancer surgery.
