Henrik Aamodt

Henrik Aamodt (1970) is a Norwegian board-certified general surgeon and cardiothoracic surgeon. He trained at the Oslo University Hospital where he was one of the surgeons establishing and developing the VATS program from 2010 onwards. Since 2019 a consultant surgeon with the Akershus University Hospital RATS team, the first RATS program in Scandinavia. The department has had a 100% RATS approach to general thoracic surgery since 2020, and the Akershus department has had frequent case-ops visits during this time. Henrik has been a proctor with Intuitive Surgical since 2021 with frequent visits across Europe. Married to Liv, an infectious disease consultant, they have two adolescent kids and a dog.
