Martin Schweiger
Prof. Schweiger is a congenital cardiovascular surgery, currently serving at the University Children’s Hospital Zurich (Kispi) in Switzerland.
His clinical and academic work focuses on the treatment of children and adults with congenital heart defects, mechanical circulatory support systems and transplantation. Further he is active in the areas of regenerative medicine and failing fontan models.
Dr. Schweiger had and holds several editorial board memberships including Section Editor-in-Chief role for the journal of Cardiovascular Development and Disease (JCDD).
He is active in leadership positions for the International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation (ISHLT) and the European Society for Organ Transplantation (ESOT).
