Serkan Ertugay
Dr. Serkan Ertugay (born in 1980) is a Professor of Cardiovascular Surgery at Ege University Faculty of Medicine. He completed his specialization in cardiovascular surgery in 2010, was promoted to Associate Professor in 2018, and became Full Professor in 2025.
He specializes in minimally invasive and totally endoscopic mitral valve surgery, with a particular focus on mitral valve repair. He also has significant clinical experience in aortic surgery. Dr. Ertugay has served as the Chair of the Patient Blood Management Task Force of the Turkish Society of Cardiovascular Surgery.
In addition to his clinical expertise, he is proficient in both English and French. He has served as an Editorial Board Member for the Turkish Journal of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery (TJTCVS) and currently holds a position as a Board Member of the Turkish Society of Cardiovascular Surgery (TKDCD).
