QUIP Vacancies – Deadline 19th September

The EACTS Quality Improvement Programme (QUIP) is seeking 4 new members to join the QUIP Committee. Are you a senior cardiothoracic surgeon interested in playing an active role in EACTS by developing the Quality Improvement programme? If so, we would love to hear from you. Application Criteria

Before applying for any role on the Committee, you must be an EACTS Member (approved or applicant member) to be eligible. Find out how to join EACTS membership below.

The QUIP Committee aims to empower our members and the wider surgical community to make a tangible difference in patient care by providing the tools and insights necessary for continuous improvement of clinical outcomes. The Committee has strategic oversight of all key databases, these include the Adult Cardiac Database (ACD), Euromacs and any future databases.

The Committee oversees associated task forces, promotes science and data-driven research, and collaborates with other societies to increase efficiency and synergy in international quality improvement projects.

The current Committee chair is Edgar Daeter.

To be eligible for the Committee you must:

  • Be an EACTS Member (or applicant member)
  • Demonstrate evidence of experience in cardiovascular surgery quality improvement or demonstrated commitment to advancing surgical quality improvements
  • Demonstrate the capabilities required to effectively input into the vision and strategy of the EACTS quality improvement programme (QUIP)
