The ACD consists of surgical interventions which are anonymised at researcher’s level, whilst enabling participating hospitals to recognise the data and outcomes from their own hospital and draw comparable data analysis with other hospitals for benchmarking purposes.

Watch this space! A new and improved Adult Cardiac Database will be launched in Autumn 2024 and, for the first time, all EACTS members will be able to access the only European wide repository of cardiac surgical interventions.

We are now in full swing in building the new ACD platform, which will have a significantly upgraded infrastructure and user design dashboard, which we hope hospitals, national societies and surgeons will find instrumental in their benchmarking and research of surgical outcomes on a European level.
