Dr Aparna Hoskote is a Paediatric Cardiac Intensivist in Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust and Honorary Associate Professor, UCL Institute of Cardiovascular Science, London, UK. The cardiac ICU is a nationally commissioned centre for ECMO, mechanical circulatory support with ventricular assist devices and cardiothoracic transplantation. She is the chair of the EuroELSO Working Group on Neurological Monitoring and Outcome, and the deputy chair of the EuroELSO Scientific Committee. She also chairs the Cardiac ICU & Mechanical Circulatory Support Section in the European Society of Paediatric and Neonatal Intensive Care (ESPNIC). She is committed to exemplary clinical care, international collaboration and outcomes research particularly focussed on neurological outcomes in children supported on extracorporeal life support including ventricular assist devices.
