Graeme Hickey

Graeme is a statistician with an interest and experience in applied scientific problems. He has worked in a number of interdisciplinary research groups spanning risk assessment, informatics, medicine, surgery, statistics, clinical audit and environmental science. He is currently a Research Associate in the Department of Biostatistics, University of Liverpool. His research is split between application and the development of statistical methodology.

He holds a Master’s Degree in Mathematics and a Ph.D. in Statistics, and has held academic research positions in the field of statistics at the universities of Durham, Manchester and Liverpool. Additionally, he also currently holds the position of Honorary Senior Lecturer in Cardiovascular Science at University College London, and was a former Honorary Lecturer at Manchester University. He is an Assistant Editor (Statistical Consultant) of the European Journal of Cardio-Thoracic Surgery and Interactive Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery journal, reviewing >800 manuscripts to-date, and a member of the Healthcare Quality Improvement Partnership (HQIP) Methodology Advice Group (MAG).
