Holger Thiele is the Director and W3-endowed Professorship of Internal Medicine/Cardiology at the Leipzig Heart Centre, Germany. He is board certified in Internal Medicine/Cardiology/Angiology. Holger’s main focus is in MRI and CT-imaging, acute myocardial infarction (STEMI + NSTEMI), cardiogenic shock, assist devices, interventional cardiology, structural heart disease and myocarditis. He is head of the working groups, “Acute coronary syndromes and complications” and “noninvasive imaging”. He authored over 300 publications with cumulative impact factor >2300 in peer-reviewed, international high-ranked journals including New England Journal of Medicine, Lancet, JAMA, Circulation, JACC, European Heart Journal, etc. Holger is a reviewer for nearly all international internal/cardiology journals including New England Journal of Medicine, Lancet, JAMA, Circulation and subjournals, JACC and subjournals, European Heart Journal, etc.
