Jens Garbade, MD, PhD is an assistant medical director of cardiac surgery at the Heart Center Leipzig, Germany. He studied at the University of Leipzig and has worked at the Heart Center since 1999. He has gained qualifications such as a Certificate of intensive care medicine in cardiac surgery and Certificate of thoracic organ transplantation of the GSCVS. Jens speciality is in adult cardiac surgery, high risk heart failure surgery, MCS and Heart Transplantation and his special clinical interests include Off-pump CABG and complete arterial revascularisation, minimally invasive procedures including complex MV-repair, aortic surgery and hybrid procedures, heart failure surgery including transplantation and assist devices.
