Lennart Froede graduated from Saarland University Medical School in 2020. As medical student he joined the team of Professor Schäfers in 2016 to complete his doctoral thesis. After graduating he started his residency in Cardiothoracic surgery at Saarland University Hospital and continued with his research work. His areas of interest are aortic surgery and aortic valve repair with a special focus on bicuspid aortic valve anatomy and geometry.
