Max Baghai

After completing his basic surgical training at Guy’s and St Thomas hospital, Max Baghai was awarded a clinical fellowship by the British Heart Foundation to complete a PhD at King’s College London. After completing his training in cardiothoracic surgery in London and passing the board exams in the speciality he was awarded the Ethicon scholarship which provided the opportunity for him to go on a fellowship to Hong Kong. After obtaining his consultant post at King’s College Hospital he went on to help build the minimal access program in cardiac surgery and the unit provides one of the most diverse minimal access programs in the country.
