Pouya Youssefi

Pouya Youssefi is a UK trained cardiac surgeon and winner of the SCTS Ethicon Scholarship, with which he has spent over 1 year working with Emmanuel Lansac at Institut Mutualiste Montsouris in aortic valve and root repair. He has completed a PhD in computational fluid dynamics of the aortic valve and root, from which he has won a number of awards including EACTS Walton Lillehei Young Investigator Award, SCTS Ronald Edwards Medal, SCTS Bob Bonser Medal in Aortic Surgery, AATS Residents’ Medal, Royal College of Surgeons of England Research Fellowship and Dunhill Medical Trust Research Fellowship. He has written extensively on techniques of aortic valve repair, as well as aortic surgery and fluid dynamics.
