Tahir YAGDI graduated from Ege University Faculty of Medicine in 1989. He became a cardiovascular surgeon in 1998. He also participated in the heart transplant program carried out at Ege University as an active member. In 2002, he worked for 6 months on heart and lung transplantation at Cambridge University Papworth Hospital. He also participated in the MCS program conducted at Ege University Faculty of Medicine in 2007 as an active member. He currently works on adult cardiac surgery, aortic surgery, peripheral vascular surgery, heart and lung transplantation, and the MCS program. Additionally, this team has one of the highest numbers of heart transplantation and MCS system implantation cases in Turkey. He has more than 300 scientific publications, most of which are related to advanced heart failure surgery.
