Dr. Maral Ouzounian is Head of the Division of Cardiovascular at the Peter Munk Cardiac Centre, University Health Network, and Associate Professor of Surgery at the University of Toronto. She is the Munk Chair in Advanced Cardiac Therapeutics and the Antonio & Helga De Gasperis Chair in Clinical Trials and Outcome Studies at University Health Network.
Ismail El-hamamsy | Professor of Cardiovascular Surgery, Mount Sinai Hospital
After completing his medical degree and residency training at the University of Montreal, Dr. El-Hamamsy went to London (UK) for a 4-year fellowship under the mentorship of Sir Magdi Yacoub, where he obtained a PhD entitled “The Living Aortic Valve”. After practicing at the Montreal Heart Institute for a decade, he joined Mount Sinai Hospital as Professor of Cardiovascular Surgery.
