Course Overview

This course offers a full day of robotic minimally invasive direct coronary artery bypass (MIDCAB) exposure and a day of presentations and hands-on sessions in a simulation environment. This will be the best preparation for one-on-one training and proctoring to start up a programme at your own centre.

Learning Objectives

  • On completion of this course you will understand the flow, inclusion and contraindications for MIDCAB
  • Be informed of the international collaborations and developments both in Europe and the USA
  • Have access to multiple hands-on sessions to train whilst working with a surgical robot and performing a beating heart anastomoses in a safe but real life environment
  • Meet experts in the field and create contacts to start planning your own programme
