Anna L. Meyer graduated as a medical doctor at the Hanover Medical School in 2003. After finishing her residency in cardiac surgery in 2010, Anna completed a 15 months fellowship focusing on mechanical circulatory support at University of Louisville in Kentucky. After 8 years in cardiac surgery at Leipzig Heart Center she is now the leading attending of the Department of Cardiac Surgery at University Hospital Heidelberg. Her areas of interests are mechanical circulatory support, thoracic organ transplantation, minimal invasive heart valve surgery, complex aortic arch surgery, aortic reconstructive surgery.
