Carlos Galvez

Carlos Galvez graduated in 2007 as a medical doctor in Miguel Hernandez University, Alicante. He finished his Thoracic Surgery residency in 2013 in Hospital General Universitario Alicante, and since then he has developed in the field of minimally invasive surgery for lung cancer. In 2017 he obtained his PhD degree for the study of prognostic biomarkers in lung cancer.

He is currently Consultant Thoracic Surgeon in Hospital General Universitario Alicante, Coordinator of the Emergent Group in Thoracic Surgery from Spanish Society of Pneumology and Thoracic Surgery (GECT-SEPAR), and member of Teaching Commission in the Spanish Society of Thoracic Surgery (SECT). His areas of interest are nonintubated VATS, sublobar resections, bronchoangioplastic procedures and laryngotracheal surgery.
