Jürgen Hörer

Prof. Dr. med. Jürgen Hörer accomplished his medical studies at Homburg, Bern and Paris. He published his doctoral thesis on membrane bound proteins involved in the secretory pathway. He started his professional career at the German Heart Center Munich where he was appointed depute director of the congenital program and Professor for cardiac surgery. After three years as director of the department for congenital heart disease at the hospital Marie Lannelongue he is since 2018 director and University Professor (TUM) of the department for congenital and pediatric heart surgery at the German Heart Center Munich and Chief of the Division for congenital and pediatric heart surgery at the University hospital Großhadern (LMU).
