Elena Sandoval (Barcelona, 1983), studied medicine at the University of Barcelona from 2001-2007. She finished her cardiovascular residency at the Department of Cardiovascular Surgery of the Hospital Clinic of Barcelona in 2013 and then, she completed a clinical fellowship in transplant and mechanical circulatory support at Texas Heart Institute in Houston. She currently works at Hospital Clinic in Barcelona, where she is senior specialist. She is also associate professor at University of Barcelona.
