Dr. Gharibeh is a Translational Science Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute, Ottawa, Canada. Her research interests focus on understanding the molecular and genetic basis underlying heart valve (aortic valve calcification and stenosis, bicuspid aortic valve disease) and heart vessel diseases (coronary artery disease, atherosclerosis, aortic dissection/aneurism,), in the hope of developing better diagnostic and prognostic tools for these diseases. Dr. Gharibeh is the recipient of many national and international scholarships and awards with the most recent being the Canadian Institute of Health Research Postdoctoral Fellowship. She is a member of the Journal of the American Heart Association (JAHA) Early Career Editorial Board, a member of various national and international associations/societies and serves as a reviewer for several peer-reviewed journals.
